MEET OUR SPEAKERS

Lindsay Billingsley
EMCEE & MODERATOR
Founder, Lab Strategies
Prior to founding LAB Strategies, Lindsay had a noteworthy 15-year career in the Dallas commercial real estate industry she was named D CEO Magazine’s “Top 30 Under 30” and received Dallas Business Journal’s “Heavy Hitter” award. She is a graduate of both the Dallas Regional Chamber’s Leadership Dallas and The Real Estate Council’s Associate Leadership Council. Lindsay currently serves on the boards of the Dallas Housing Authority, Dallas 24 Hour Club, Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas’ Community Board, Teach For America and United to Learn. She previously served on the boards of KIPP Public Schools DFW, Nexus Recovery Center, The da Vinci School and The Real Estate Council Foundation.
Lindsay is a graduate of Southern Methodist University where she received her Bachelor and Master of Business Administration from the Cox School of Business.

Carley Ruff

Habitat for Humanity International
Carley Ruff is the Director of State and Local Relations for Habitat for Humanity International’s Government Relations and Advocacy Office in Washington DC. In her role, she works to build the public policy knowledge and capacity of Habitat for Humanity organizations across the U.S. to improve housing policy and systems at the state and local level. Carley has over 15 years of experience working in the affordable housing sector. Previously, she worked as the Policy Director for the North Carolina Housing Coalition, where she served as the organization’s chief lobbyist at the North Carolina General Assembly. She facilitated the development of state legislative and regulatory policy positions addressing needs across the housing continuum. She has served on the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity of Wake County and The Association of Housing Counselors of the Carolinas (TAHC). Carley began her career as an AmeriCorps member serving with Habitat affiliates in Charlotte, NC and Richmond, VA. Carley holds a BA in History from the University of Georgia and a Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis.

Crone also developed a green building program for the Association. The program, that came to be known as Green Built Texas (GBT), went on to win local, state and national awards and serves as an important policy tool for the Dallas BA.
Following his promotion to Executive Officer in 2013, Crone helped develop award-winning education programs, a trade show, and a partnership with Operation Finally Home (OFH), an organization that builds mortgage-free homes for wounded combat veterans. Crone currently serves on OFH’s Advisory Committee.
In 2014, Crone received the David Lloyd Memorial New Executive Officer of the Year Award from NAHB. Crone also received the Gary Komarow Executive Officer of the Year Award in 2019 and, the following year, was named to Professional Builder Magazine’s Forty Under 40 list.
