My Vision for Dallas HYP: As Dallas is one of the front-runners in the need for homeownership, what better place to serve! Being a new homeowner myself, I intimately understand the need to help those seeking homeownership. I look forward to this chapter becoming the best place for future leaders within Dallas to make a positive impact toward the housing issues faced by all through education, advocacy, philanthropy, and of course – building lasting relationships. Homeownership is not an individual project, it is a community relationship. “It takes a village…”

Favorite Habitat Memory: I’ll never forget volunteering on a project with HYP and A Brush with Kindness. We were painting a home for an elder within a community which my grandfather pastored a local church. The genuine humbleness and gratitude the homeowner exhibited to ALL the volunteers during the entire day, brought tears to my eyes. To us it seemed to be only paint but to her it was a dream come true. Moments such as these personify the mission and value of what we do and who we are as HYP!
