Dear Donor,
Our collective world has changed forever, and because we are steadfast in our commitment to serving low-income hard-working families, Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity has reimagined how we deliver on our mission to provide safe, affordable housing to this community. With your support, Dallas Habitat built 48 homes, and helped 2,000 individuals complete more than 6,000 courses through our digital education program last year.
We remain committed to serving Dallas families because we know that a home is the foundation for so many memories and milestones that a family will celebrate in their lifetime. Safe, affordable homes lead to better health outcomes and higher educational achievements for children. Homeownership builds stability in neighborhoods and communities and provides for long-term generational wealth. The need for Habitat’s affordable housing program is immense, and the Habitat family always rises to the challenge.
With the help of our amazing donor community, Habitat has expanded access to our financial education classes and homebuyer readiness programs by transferring all learning to an online platform – tripling the number of families who are able to participate. Habitat’s educational programs are a catalyst for reducing poverty, reducing dependence on government assistance, and supporting the workforce of our city.
We cannot complete this work without you. When you consider that 1 in 3 children in Dallas are living in poverty; financial education and access to safe, affordable housing are instrumental to breaking the cycle of poverty.
As we look to the future, we know Dallas Habitat must continue to reimagine and scale our ability to serve this community. We need your help to ensure that every deserving family has a stable place to call home.
