Your old is someone else’s new

We couldn’t operate our Habitat ReStores without people like you. The cycle of donating and buying is the fuel that powers our ability to give back and recover. As you renovate, replace or relocate – think twice before throwing your materials or furniture away. Donating your old can often be reclaimed as someone else’s new. We can also work with you to help you organize the logistics.

DIY Doesn’t Have To Be Complicated

DIY Flower Planter With ReStore Materials

DIY can be overwhelming, we get it. Which is why we wanted to share with you a simple tutorial featuring DIY expert, Theresa Clement. Don’t be intimidated by her impressive resume (which includes designing for “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” ), this planter took a few small tools and a couple of hours.

Theresa was inspired by a few hidden treasures that she found at a Habitat ReStore location to create her planter. She found a chair that she used for her planters backing, and a small chest for the planter itself, from there, she purchased paint and duct tape – all materials that are sold at most ReStores (for up to 90% off your typical Hardware store might I add!)

After a little paint, some screws and inspiration, Theresa transformed two ordinary objects into something extraordinary in five steps.

Create Something Custom and Beautiful for Your Home

We won’t tell anyone that you got your antique chair for 90% off, or repainted your bathroom with our paint that’s 70% cheaper than your traditional hardware store. We won’t even tell your friends that your toilet paper holder was $1 and your cabinets were $40. Shhhh…

What we will do is brag about all of the incredible items that have been created by our customers using ReStore materials. A Habitat ReStore recently held a Design Challenge where DIY-ers used ReStore materials to create their own work of art in their home. From vintage dressers, wreaths and one of our personal favorites – a treadmill table.
