Non Construction Volunteer Opportunities

At Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity, we offer a variety of unique volunteer opportunities that extend beyond traditional construction work and retail opportunities at our ReStores. These opportunities allow volunteers to get involved in meaningful ways that suit a range of interests, skills, and availability.

Ensure volunteers and participants feel welcome and appreciated by providing refreshments, snacks, and a friendly atmosphere during build days, special events, and volunteer appreciation days.

Share your creative talents and help us amplify our impact by capturing Habitat’s mission in action through photos and videos.

Provide planning, promotion, or day-of event assistance for special events such as home dedications, donation drives, and holiday celebrations throughout the year.

Help us build homes without picking up a tool! Greet, sign in, and coordinate volunteers during build days. Typical commitment: 7:30–9:30 a.m.

Provide and serve lunch to volunteers on Saturdays to help them recharge for the rest of the day.

Support Habitat’s mission during business hours by assisting with phones, filing, data entry, mailings, graphic design, research, or other specialized tasks. Let us know your skills!
