Rock the Block 2026
Rock the Block represents a defining moment in the 40-year legacy of Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity, bringing our mission to life through partnership, service, and community-led progress.
Taking place October 19–24, 2026, Rock the Block is a week-long activation in Joppa, one of North Texas’s oldest freedmen’s communities and a neighborhood where Dallas Habitat has partnered with residents for more than 20 years.
Together, neighbors, volunteers, partners, and community leaders will invest in homes, shared spaces, and relationships that help strengthen the neighborhood for the long-term.

Volunteer Awards 2025
We kicked off our 40th anniversary celebration in style with our annual Volunteer Awards, an evening dedicated to honoring the incredible individuals who power our mission forward.
This year’s event took place in the heart of downtown Dallas at the AT&T District, where Dallas Habitat quite literally stopped traffic. Passersby paused to take in our vibrant media wall and join in the excitement of the celebration. The night was filled with powerful words from community advocates, Dallas Habitat homeowners, and longtime supporters, all of whom recognized the dedication and impact of our volunteers.
