Dallas Habitat offers a variety of online courses and in-person workshops that provide tools and resources on topics such as budgeting, credit, savings, considering homeownership and post-purchase success. FEATURED CLASS
HUD-Certified Homebuyer Education Class (In Person)
Saturday, September 20 | 9am – 2:30pm
Join us to learn everything you need to know before buying your first home!
This online HUD-certified course provides an in-depth understanding of the steps in the home buying process. Our industry professionals and panels of experts will cover topics including: Pros/Cons of Homeownership, Money Management, Understanding Credit, Home Financing, Shopping for a Home and much more!
This course satisfies lender and down payment assistance program requirements for a HUD-Certified Homebuyer Education class. Certificates are issued upon completion (must attend entire course to obtain a certificate).
Post Purchase Class (In Person)
Thursday, Sept 25 | 6:00pm to 7:30pm
Buying a home is just the beginning—living in it successfully takes skill, communication, and a little know-how. This in-person class helps new homeowners navigate the challenges that come after closing day. Join us Thursday evening, September 25th, to learn about different conflict resolution tactics and staying ahead on home maintenance. This class empowers homeowners to protect their investment, reduce stress, and foster harmony inside and outside the home. Think about it like a toolkit for both your house and your relationships!
Our webinars are led by Dallas Habitat’s Homeownership Center team to help you obtain and maintain your dream of homeownership.

Dallas Habitat’s free digital education library, PocketWise CAFÉ®, brings financial education to your fingertips! These short, self-guided and interactive modules are offered at no-cost and are available to anyone, anywhere 24/7. Modules are mobile- and tablet-friendly. Topics include:

Self Guided Online HUD-certified Homebuyer Education Courses
In partnership with eHome America, Dallas Habitat offers an online version of HUD-certified (8-hour) Homebuyer Education. Easily accessible through any device 24/7, you can take this comprehensive, fun, and engaging course at your own pace. This course satisfies most lender and down payment assistance program requirements.
This class is not required to apply for our counseling program.
Live (Zoom) HUD-Certified Homebuyer Education
For those who prefer a more interactive, engaging class experience Dallas Habitat hosts a live version of this class (on Zoom). Join us to meet homeownership experts as you build your home buying team and get all your questions answered! This course satisfies lender and down payment assistance program requirements and certificates are issued upon completion.
This class is not required to apply for our counseling program.
The cost for the live course is $30/household
