Shower Donation

We know that when you’re renovating, you’re more focused on your Pinterest boards and contractor quotes than you are on the aftermath. But it’s important to consider what you’ll be doing with your major fixtures and appliances. Donating them can save you time, money, and hassle, while also doing good for your community. Read on to learn more!

The Benefits of Donating Your Shower to Habitat for Humanity Dallas

Keep Your Renovation Green

If you’re renovating your bathroom and that avocado green shower just has to go, make sure it stays green by recycling it! When you donate your shower to Habitat for Humanity, we put it up for sale in our ReStore, where it can be purchased by someone who loves avocado green. This keeps it out of the landfill and off of your conscience!

It’s Tax-Deductible

Bet you never thought your shower could be tax-deductible, did you? But along with your other bathroom fixtures and appliances, you can donate your shower to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore and we’ll provide you with a tax-deductible receipt upon pickup or drop-off!

Get It Hauled Away for FREE

Did you know that your regular trash services will not haul away your construction materials? This means that you’ll have to pay to have everything hauled away to the dump–and in some cases, you’ll have to pay to use the landfill as well!

Save yourself the time, cost, and frustration of organizing all that, and just call Habitat for Humanity instead. When you donate your shower or other renovation materials, we’ll schedule a pickup and come haul it away for free!

Improve Your Community

Everything you donate to the ReStore–including your shower–is repurposed or sold in our consignment store. The profits from all sales go directly into building new homes for deserving families in the Dallas community. This means that when you donate your shower to Habitat, you’re helping the dream of homeownership come true for someone in need.

Will You Take My Shower as a Donation?

We take all kinds of showers. However, there may be some limitations depending on it’s condition, material, or size. We take:

  • Pre-fabricated showers
  • Showerpans
  • Tubs
  • Glass Showers
  • Showerheads
  • Shower fixtures

If you have a tile or mosaic shower, we may not be able to reuse the materials. We also ask that your shower be damage-free and in good working condition. If you have questions about your shower donation, contact us at 214-678-2309.

How to Donate Your Shower to the ReStore

If you’re donating a showerhead or other small shower fixtures, feel free to drop them off at your closest ReStore location! We’ll provide you with a receipt for the stated value upon donation.

If you are in need of a pickup for a large shower pan or pre-fabricated shower, schedule your free pickup here! When picking up, just make sure your shower is in an easily accessible place like your garage or outside.

If you have any questions about donating your shower to Habitat, contact us at 214-678-2309.
